Dischord a remis VOID à la mode, le groupe maudit du hardcore de Washington D.C. Ils sortent officiellement leur 'premier' disque 30 ans après: Sessions 1981-1983. Un des membres s'opposait à un enregistrement commercé. Y'a de grandes chances que ce soit le chanteur (John Weiffenbach, le blase), le type déambulait sur scène en short de ping-pong, tu peux pas faire ça si tu t'appelles pas Napalm Death. Ce CD/LP contenant 34 pistes comprend une demo session de 1981 jamais proprement éditée, les mêmes morceaux mais joués le mois d'après avec un son bionique, puis rejoués en 82, pour finir par 2 lives minables mais ultra agressifs. D'ailleurs, ce groupe était peut-être le plus agressif catapulté en 1981. C'est un son + une attitude de branleur ultime, comme tout groupe hardcore qui se respecte. I want to die, in a war ! Les paroles de Condensed flesh n'ont pas découragé Ian Mc Kaye. Là où Ian a un peu chié, c'est qu'il aurait pu refoutre les morceaux du split avec FAITH, seul support potable du groupe, leur meilleur titre étant dessus : Who are you, outta my hair! [Bonus] Tous les titres des titres sont des templates du hardcore 80: Suburbs suck, Annoyed, Black jewish & poor, Time to die, All white neighborhood, Dehumanized et(putain de)c. Que dire de plus, arbeit macht fleish !



Dischord brings back VOID on the trendlist, the cursed band of the D.C. hardcore scene. They officialy put out the first 'real' record of the band 30 years after: Sessions 1981-1983. One of the members objected to the project. There's some chance it was due to the singer ((John Weiffenbach, wow), the guy wandreded on stage dressed in ping-pong shorts, you cannot do that if you are not Napalm Death. This CD/LP contains 34 tracks, one demo session from 1981 that never had a clean release, the same tracks recorded one month later with a manic sound, and recorded again in 82, to finish with 2 dirty but ultra aggressive live songs. By the way, this band was perhaps the more aggressive one back in 1981. They are a sound + an attitude of total wanker, as every true hard core band. I want to die, in a war ! The lyrics from Condensed flesh didn't discourage Ian McKaye. He cracked a bit and must have put the songs from the FAITH split, the only decent record of the band, plus their best song features on it : Who are you, outta my hair! [Bonus] All the titles of the tracks are kinda templates of 80's hardcore : Suburbs suck, Annoyed, Black jewish & poor, Time to die, All white neighborhood, Dehumanized and so fuckin' on.
