S'en suivent règlements de comptes à coup de grosses paluches et cruising au volant de gros tracteurs. Bonne esthétique de l'ennui. Malgré un partenariat avec Libé et Les Inrocks, le film se tient. Jeff Nichols refait d'ailleurs équipe avec Michael Shannon dans TAKE SHELTER qui sort bientôt en France. In this contemporary western, three brothers marked by hatred... stop it looks like Télérama here. This is the story of three poor guys who try to get by living in a shithole in South Arkansas. The eldest lives with a girl who's hard to keep; he's addicted to cards, the follower lives in a van along the river, the youngest lives in a 2" tent on the lawn of his brother. The day the father who abandoned them is buried, they come to tell the truth to the second family he started. A settling of scores would eventually follow with large paws while cruising large tractors. Nice boredom aesthetics. Despite a partnership with Libération and Les Inrocks, the movie holds up.
