Dischord a remis VOID à la mode, le groupe maudit du hardcore de Washington D.C. Ils sortent officiellement leur 'premier' disque 30 ans après: Sessions 1981-1983. Un des membres s'opposait à un enregistrement commercé. Y'a de grandes chances que ce soit le chanteur (John Weiffenbach, le blase), le type déambulait sur scène en short de ping-pong, tu peux pas faire ça si tu t'appelles pas Napalm Death. Ce CD/LP contenant 34 pistes comprend une demo session de 1981 jamais proprement éditée, les mêmes morceaux mais joués le mois d'après avec un son bionique, puis rejoués en 82, pour finir par 2 lives minables mais ultra agressifs. D'ailleurs, ce groupe était peut-être le plus agressif catapulté en 1981. C'est un son + une attitude de branleur ultime, comme tout groupe hardcore qui se respecte. I want to die, in a war ! Les paroles de Condensed flesh n'ont pas découragé Ian Mc Kaye. Là où Ian a un peu chié, c'est qu'il aurait pu refoutre les morceaux du split avec FAITH, seul support potable du groupe, leur meilleur titre étant dessus : Who are you, outta my hair! [Bonus] Tous les titres des titres sont des templates du hardcore 80: Suburbs suck, Annoyed, Black jewish & poor, Time to die, All white neighborhood, Dehumanized et(putain de)c. Que dire de plus, arbeit macht fleish !



Dischord brings back VOID on the trendlist, the cursed band of the D.C. hardcore scene. They officialy put out the first 'real' record of the band 30 years after: Sessions 1981-1983. One of the members objected to the project. There's some chance it was due to the singer ((John Weiffenbach, wow), the guy wandreded on stage dressed in ping-pong shorts, you cannot do that if you are not Napalm Death. This CD/LP contains 34 tracks, one demo session from 1981 that never had a clean release, the same tracks recorded one month later with a manic sound, and recorded again in 82, to finish with 2 dirty but ultra aggressive live songs. By the way, this band was perhaps the more aggressive one back in 1981. They are a sound + an attitude of total wanker, as every true hard core band. I want to die, in a war ! The lyrics from Condensed flesh didn't discourage Ian McKaye. He cracked a bit and must have put the songs from the FAITH split, the only decent record of the band, plus their best song features on it : Who are you, outta my hair! [Bonus] All the titles of the tracks are kinda templates of 80's hardcore : Suburbs suck, Annoyed, Black jewish & poor, Time to die, All white neighborhood, Dehumanized and so fuckin' on. What's more to say, arbeit macht fleish !

Ceux qui suivent FluoGlacial connaissent Molly Nilsson, découverte par hasard dans les méandres de la planète Youtube avec son clip Europa, un jour d'automne. Depuis 2009, je n'ai pas quitté cette voix du nord qui n'a cessée de sortir des albums et de consolider une identité et un son unique. Aujourd'hui en 2011, on dirait que de plus en plus de gens reconnaissent la vérité. Molly termine actuellement une tournée d'un mois aux USA. Un entretien réalisé à Berlin. Fest ung Europa!

Those who know FluoGlacial know Molly Nilsson, discovered by chance in the meanderings of planet Youtube with her movie clip: Europa, a day of autumn. Since 2009, I followed the new voice of north pop who's been constantly putting out albums and creating her proper and unique sound. It seems more and more people recognize the truth now in 2011. She's currently finishing a one month tour in the USA. An interview made in Berlin. Fest ung Europa!

Hum, je vis ici depuis 7 ans. Je suis arrivé ici pratiquement après l'école. Je n'étais pas supposée rester aussi longtemps.

Exactement. Il n'y a pas vraiment de raison... Je veux dire des gens choisissent Berlin mais moi je suis en quelque sorte restée coincée ici. J'aurais voulu être coincée ailleurs mais bon...
Exactly. There's barely no reason for it... I mean some people might choose Berlin but I just kinda got stuck here. I wish I had got stuck somewhere else but...

Novembre, le mois le plus cruel. La nuit tombe à 16h en Occident. Ça donne envie à Tony Wakeford de jouer du flutiau pour louer le SOL INVICTUS, et le prier de vite rabouler. L'auteur de divines comptines aux noms dévastateurs tels que "Contre le monde moderne" ou "Les abattoirs de l'amour" revient avec un quoi, quinzième album ? Pas loin en tous cas. La nouvelle acropole est dans le brouillard, il faudra surmonter les passages flutés et les interludes "chants de marins" pour mieux se fondre dans la pierre. Fools ship est le bon départ. Je ne suis pas adepte des groupes multi-instrumentaux, ça rejoint un peu ce que fait maintenant Blood Axis. Cependant, Toys est un bon titre d'homme d'action. Le reste se cherche entre folklore tradi et la musique acoustique alcoolisée de Michael Gira. C'est quand même chiant au bout d'un moment. Je doute que Julius se serait procurer le digipack. On lui laisse quand même le mot de la fin: "Bourgeois, le rebelle aux cheveux longs qui a besoin de la société pour se faire remarquer. Bourgeois, l'anarchiste narcissique, individualiste, profondément incapable de se donner une discipline. L'antithèse de l'esprit bourgeois, ce n'est pas la place d'Espagne ou Saint-Germain-des-Prés, ce n'est pas le salon de gauche ou le bar existentialiste, c'est le camp, le gymnase, la solitude, la montagne."

SOL INVICTUS - Toys

November, the cruellest month. Night falls at 4pm in the West. It makes Tony Wakeford want to play flutiau to praise the SOL INVICTUS, and ask him to quickly get back. The author of divine ditties with devastating titles such as "Against the modern world" or "Abattoirs of love" returns with what, a fifteenth album? Not far anyway. The nova akropola is in the fog, you gotta overcome the fluting instants and "sea shanties" interludes to better blend into the stone. Fools ship is a good start. I'm not a fan of multi-instrumental groups, it looks a little like what Blood Axis is doing now. However, Toys is a good action man track. The rest is going between traditional folklore and the alcoholic acoustic of Michael Gira. It's still boring after a while. I doubt that Julius would get the digipack. Anyway, let him the last word: "Bourgeois, the rebel with long hair who needs the society to get noticed. Bourgeois, the narcissistic anarchist, individualistic, deeply unable to have a discipline. The antithesis of the bourgeois spirit, it is not the Piazza di Spagna or Saint-Germain-des-Prés, this is not the left lounge or the existentialist cafe, it is the camp, the gym, loneliness, the mountain."

Bonsoir. Ceux qui veulent se débarrasser de tout ce que la culture actuelle compte d'inutile sont là. Ils ont laissé leur vieil immeuble allemand de Brooklyn qui croule sous leurs pieds pour tourer l'Europe, comme au temps des Vichy girls. Mais, où est-ce que j'ai trouvé ces précieuses informations que vous n'avez même pas eu sur Twitter ? Ben écoute leur entrevue sur DOUCHE FROIDE si tu es capable de supporter l'accent toulousain. J'étais pas très érectile avant ce concert, surtout après l'écoute du dernier album et des échos parigots de leur venue. Rabajs. Comme toujours, il n'y a pas un rat au King Kong Klub, étranges berlinois... La foule atteindra 60/70 personnes au max. Dans un autre "club", je suis sûr que ça aurait triplé. Les gens préfèrent voir Busy P au Gretchen.

Bonsoir. Those who want to get rid off everything's useless in the current culture are here. They left their old devastated german building of Brooklyn to tour Europe like in the Vichy girls days. But, where I find all this precious information you couldn't get on Twitter ? Just listen their interview on DOUCHE FROIDE if you can stand the Tolosa accent. I wasn't much excited to see them live after listening their last album and the echoes of their Paris' show. Spoilsport. Like always there's nobody in the King Kong Klub, strange berliners... The audience will reach later 60/70 people. Sure in another venue it would have been 3 x more. Go see Busy P at Gretchen!
